An enduring love of Indian textiles was the motivation for Lin Macara to embark on her first forage into this fascinating world in March, 1995 & her eclectic collection of old & new textiles has grown substantially since then.  Subsequent to that first trip, Lin has been visiting India bi-annually.  Lin opened the doors of Soshu’s at the beginning of May, 1995.

Since that first trip she has expanded her collection to include clothing, shawls (including pure pashminas from Kashmir), jewellery, wooden pieces, lamps & hanging lights, in fact anything that meets her high standards & takes her fancy.

Soshu’s centrepiece is the exquisite work of Jaipur based Brigitte Singh who
has devoted the last 25 years or more to elevating the art of wood block printing to a whole new level, creating a sublime range of home furnishings, clothing and accessories
