French by birth, Brigitte Singh first visited Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, at the end of the 70’s to study the art of miniature painting where she met her husband & subsequently made her home in Amber, the old capital, near Jaipur.  Brigitte became fascinated by the rich heritage of the textile industry, in particular the art of wood block printing, which had flourished in the 18th century but had declined in quality since that period.

By the early 80’s Brigitte had set up her own atelier in Amber & began to produce an exquisite range of furnishings, clothes & accessories which has grown during the ensuing years.  Many of Brigitte’s designs are based on traditional Moghul art & all aspects of production take place under her personal supervision.
